Engine 1631 is a 2025 HME Model 1871 Type-1 Fire Engine. It’s currently the first out fire engine staffed with three to four Firefighters 24 hours a day. 1631 carries not only fire suppression equipment, but a vast amount of vehicle extrication equipment (the Jaws of Life). Additionally, 1631 is an Intermediate Life Support Engine giving our EMT’s and Paramedics the critical equipment needed to work on patients until an ambulance arrives. 1631 carries 800 gallons of water and can pump up to 1,500 gallons of water a minute.
